The best times to visit/climb/hike/trek Rwenzori Mountains National Park are from June to August and from December to February, however it is open all year long. The optimum period for climbers to undertake an ascent of Mountain Rwenzori’s Margherita Peak is during the months of June and August.
The dry months, from mid-June to August, may seem like the best time to visit the Rwenzori Mountains. Although it is a season when the mountains can receive less rainfall, a little window of opportunity opens up for mountaineers anxious to see Mountain Rwenzori at its best.
The Rwenzori Mountains National Park is more frequently visited during the dry months than it is during the cooler months from March to May and from September to November, when it is blanketed in mist.
